Rare ginsenosides' activity is significantly greater than that of the common ginsenosides

Very scarce, the "noble" among triterpenoid compounds

Rare ginsenosides could only be obtained through bodily metabolism and/or in vitro (outside the body) transformation. As little as 0.05 to 1 gram of rare ginsenosides could be extracted from 10,000 grams of red ginseng, and they are regarded as the "noble" within the triterpenoid compounds.

Bottleneck in production

Rare ginsenosides cannot be prepared in large quantities through industrialized preparations, due to the high cost of raw materials and the immaturity of preparation methodologies. In addition, rare ginsenosides are neither water-soluble nor lipid-soluble, and traditional dispersion technology of preparation cannot achieve optimal absorption and utilization.
